Before returning to Laos, let me place this here in the hopes someone reading might be able to help.

           This is a huge ask but I am currently looking for new adoptees for my China rescue bonded pair, Luxi (Lucy) and terrier Xiao Dou-dou (Little Beanie).  They were adopted by a nearby Marshall, Illinois resident, PJ Crowell (center photo) in 2023.  They have been her beloved companions ever since but due to her current allergy health issues, PJ has informed me they need to be re-homed.

         Both dogs were in dire straights in China when I hauled them away from what would have been a tragic ending.  Lucy I found on my China school’s campus, in terrible pain with a broken leg; Beanie, stuffed in a tiny cage, was rescued from a disreputable pet clinic.  Their stories and journey to America can be found on my website, connieinchina.org (May 7, 2023 post) or at this link: https://connieinchina.org/2023/05/07/rescue-dogs-from-china-awaiting-a-new-home/ 

About Lucy and Beanie

These small, bonded-pair sweethearts are not to be separated, are house trained, walk well on leashes, non-aggressive but best no other dogs in the household.  (Cats they might chase although they loved mine in China.)    Older children should be fine, meaning 12 and up.  Some men they are hesitant around but PJ mentioned warming up to them eventually.
